Biology
This year, the Biology department is planning a one-day trip for their Advanced Higher candidates who are studying The Environment. The trip will consist of a ranger-lead walk in the Grey Mare's Tail/ Loch Skene area and will be accompanied by Ms Hall.
Geography
The Geography department hope to take their Advanced Higher pupils on a three-day fieldtrip in August to Aigas Fieldwork centre near Beauly near Inverness. Mrs Hume hopes to lead the group to investigate aspects of rivers, soil, vegetation and traffic
History
Each spring the History department organises a trip to the First World
War battlefields of Belguim or northern France. This year around
40 pupils visited sites around Ieper, the main topic of the visit
being Remembrance.
A fine and informative time was had by all and, hopefully a report
including video will soon appear on this site.
Home Economics
As usual, the Home Economics department is taking around 50 third year pupils to The Royal Highland Show at Ingliston near Edinburgh. As usual, the pupils will be taking a keen interest in the food and craft stands.
