Books
There is a wide selection of fiction (story) books, ranging from easy readers up to adult fiction.
The library also has a wide selection of non-fiction books (information) covering many subjects for both school work and leisure activities.
The reference section contains encyclopaedias, dictionaries and other information books which may only be used in school.

Magazines and Newspapers
A small number of magazines, as well as the Southern Reporter and Border Telegraph newspapers, are available to staff and pupils.
Information Folders
The library has two sets of information folders Essential Articles and Fact File
These are very useful for obtaining information for writing discursive essays. They can be found in the reference section.
Past Papers and Study Guides
There is also a large selection of Past Papers and Study Guides on many subjects taught in school. They may be borrowed, but may be for a shorter loan period than normal.
Staff Library
There is a separate section within the library which contains staff resources. Staff may borrow any of the resources using their library card.
Careers Library
The Careers Library contains information on various colleges, universities and UCAS applications. Much of this information is now available on-line.
The careers adviser is available to help with careers advice several days a week.
Appointment cards are available from the librarians.
Computers
The library has ten networked computers with internet connections, for use by pupils and staff. They can be booked during class time, at lunchtime and after school.
